Are you someone who enjoys finding a favorite piece of clothing here and there? Does adding something you love to your wardrobe make your day? Will you admit that you can't afford to spend thousands of dollars each month satisfying your wish list? If so, you are just like me.

Being a fashion forward lady in today's world can be as easy as throwing on some t-shirt, jeans, and boots or it can be as difficult as saving up every penny for that must have designer item. In writing this blog, I hope to share some of my fashion statements and tactics on finding key pieces to build a classy wardrobe without emptying our pockets. This blog will address issues such as how to dress nice, when and where to score deals, which pieces one should have and much more. Please stay with me and we will explore some closets together. (:

What I consider key pieces:

  • Satin/silk/chiffon shell top in a soft color
  • Feminine blouse
  • Loosely fitted t-shirt
  • Soft cardigan
  • Nicely fitted casual blazer
  • Wool jacket
  • Good pair of jeans
  • Cotton or wool-blend, black leggings
  • Tailored shorts
  • Feminine skirt
  • Solid colored, bold dress
  • Skirt or pant suit (for work)
  • Some stylish belts
  • Black tights
  • Some classic jewelry (e.g. pearls)
  • Some costume jewelry
  • Leather riding boots
  • Basic, comfortable black heels 
  • Basic, comfortable nude heels
  • Pretty sandals and/or flats
  • And a bag I love

What I consider affordable or worth buying:
  • Tops - $30 and Under
  • Blouses - $40 and Under
  • Basic Shirts (e.g. t-shirts and tanks) - $15 and Under
  • Cardigans - $30 and Under
  • Sweaters - $30 and Under
  • Blazers - $100 and Under
  • Jackets & Outerwear- $200 and Under
  • Jeans - $100 and Under
  • Leggings - $15 and Under
